This was rea and so well writtenl. I had never encountered the perspective you have on this before it's unique.

Girl 😭. I have lost my words. Thank you ♥️

You can see how shaken I was by those typos I just noticed 💀

Wow, I can't wait to read more of your writing, it's very interesting to see the inner workings of your brain, and I completely agree with you, we humans absorb more than we tend to notice 😁

Thank you so much, captain ⛵

Beautifully crafted and expressed. Having 3.5 mother tongues I believe my ignorance understands nicely your thoughts.

I always loved French but since my years I have spent in francophone Africa my brain was rewired.

The result : quite some time I think in French, and so be it, a poem flows out in French aussi ...

Et voilà, I decided to publish my poems here in both English and French. No matter which of the two was the poem originator, I rewrite it into other...

n.b. my Sub started only this year, am not an experienced writer, I do it out of passion...

Cordialement, moi...

Apologies for the delay. I could have sworn I had already replied to you. There shall not be any mention of "your ignorance" under my watch. One could never be ignorant with 3.5 languages under their belt. x

Dean M's avatar

Oh my, you are so kind, thank you.

And don't worry the delay, I perfectly know we all have lots of things to cope with.

About ignorance, that was a bit philosophical, but you understood that. It is the child in me who is sans arrêt curious and amazed with the sheer amount of things to learn, read, understand….

And languages, I feel privileged I could claim three as mother tongue, and my heart adopted the 4th, therefore I say 3.5… I love communication and languages, currently I am octalingual, hoping to add one or another language in this next phase of my life…

I love this. As someone who grew up between two countries & technically speaks more than two languages at conversational level; this really spoke to me, I feel so incredibly scene. You captured the accumulation of voice so well

Omg! thank you so much 🥹 x

This is a great article, very insightful.

You know I also realized that now with tiktok so many more people know about phrases, dances and theories.

But when you said that you found ai speech patterns inside your. That hit me. Because even in my own words I see it.

We become what we study and use.

Maybe it's the tiny mistakes that makes people fall in love with me.

Great work

Very well written and compelling piece. I especially liked the underlying concerns of self and authenticity threaded within. I think what happened is you became aware of your absorption instead of passively letting it infiltrate you. Reminded me of becoming bilingual, where I was actually seeing things twice, in both languages, instead of my brain just switching over naturally. Thanks for sharing 💐

Thank you for your kind words. Your comment reminded of a time when I went to Portugal. Guide was explaining the "same thing" in French, Spanish and English. I was effectively hearing the same story three times but each time, it was different. Nuances were gained, jokes were lost. I took it for granted. Your comment reminded me of why I shouldn't. Our brain just does this in the background and it's mind-blowing really. Thank you x

This was excellent! I can also tell you're using the cheat sheet for the formatting you shared! Very polished - 10/10!

tsunimee's avatar

That’s so kind of you to say, thank you ♥

Odd little fact for you. It takes eleven encounters with a word to commit it to your own language bank.

tsunimee's avatar

This is FASCINATING!! Mind blowing in fact.

Just a bit of teacher knowledge that floats around in my head.

tsunimee's avatar

Did you mean to say “must be the teacher knowledge floating around my head 😌”. Remove the “just”. Way too humble and we are not doing that today 😘x

Kim Allison's avatar

Fair point. I do not enjoy considering myself as having something worth saying. However, I shall desist.

tsunimee's avatar

Thank you for your kind words. I love your background. I had to sub right away. But enough with the apologising. Be proud of your writing. You should be so proud of it! 🌞 Started myself 3 weeks ago
